Thierry’s Career Stories

Did anyone ever oppose your career plans when you were young or push you in a direction you did not want to go?

I founded Kazoza Initiative with the goal of supporting vulnerable children and youth in my community. At the beginning, resources were very limited, and we had to rely on volunteer support and small contributions from individuals who believed in the mission. One of the biggest challenges was maintaining consistency and motivating team members despite financial constraints. I learned that leadership is not only about resources, but about vision, commitment, and the ability to mobilize people around a shared purpose. Through this experience, I developed skills in project coordination, teamwork, and community engagement. I also learned how to adapt, stay resilient, and focus on long-term impact rather than immediate results. Today, this experience continues to shape how I approach challenges and support others who are trying to build something meaningful from the ground up.
