Treat everyone with the same respect, your customers and your clients. If you do not, good chances you will fail or have issues down the road!
Be competitive with pricing, so know the market. Also, good to work with Insurance companies and even have them on-site to support both you and your customers... (one-stop shop)!
Also with environmental issues today, OK to use premium paint and other environmental freindly products for your business. It may cost more, but right thing to do and customers will also appreciate the cause. Search out a "really" good shop and get to know the owner - observe the employees and customers, you figure out what works or doesn't work real soon. Good Luck!

My advice would be the same regardless of the type of company you were considering; the three most important things to look for are:

1) Does the company truly a care about its employees. I would look on Glassdoor, the employee feedback website, talk to employees, and ask related questions during the interview when it is your turn to ask questions. I would not just ask "do you care about employees?" But instead related questions that give you a sense for how they truly feel. Why do tour employees stay with you for long periods of time? Whay would employees say are what makes this a great company? etc
2)Does the company care about its customers. if they don't, they will not be successful over the long-term and it wont be a fun place to work either. Look for website reviews and other signs to help you understand this. Look for patterns as you will always find some people that post negative things, so again look for patterns of good or bad to help you sort out the wide variety of things you will hear.
3) Lastly, and by no means the least important; Do the values of the company match up to your values?
