Is Philosophy a good choice?
As far as I know, Philosophy doesn't have many career options in it. Teacher, policy maker/defining ethics and like, someone who spreads their ideas through social media, author -- are some I am aware of. But does anything else also exist? What does a philosopher earn on average? Can there be time/researches and such things available, like in the Age of Philosophers - where they spread many ideas and such? Mainly, are Philosophers even recognised nowadays? What do the ones who have done a degree in philosophy do now-a-days?
If I have an interest in studying Ancient Greek and Roman philosophy in particular, should I study classics instead of general philosophy? How would that affect which courses I take in college? #fall25
