Artists what are your tips on how to do commissions of your work?
I'm currently a high school senior and I'm wondering more about how do to commissions properly(Ex:Doing pricing right,How to sent the work to the buyer Etc.) and some tips and tricks as well as your personal experiences with working on commissions since I would like to possibly do these someday in the future.
What type of job that aligns with your degree in Studio Art do you have, and how did you get it?
I'm a high school senior planning on getting a BFA in either Studio Art or Sculpture and was wondering what sort of jobs people with BFAs usually get and how-also how much do you make. Is going to college worth it just to make connections and learn to get a job within the field, or is it basically useless?
How do I find a job involving the arts?
How do I find a job involving art near me? I really like the idea of sculpting, so I would like to get a career in it. There is nothing near me whatsoever based on websites like Indeed or Glassdoor. My main mode of transportation is biking.
When is a good time to hire a rep or publicist or rep ? How do you go about finding one worth their salt?
Hi, I'm looking to get in more galleries with my work. I've had luck with my rep in NY, they even took my work to Art Miami ( Basel week), but really need more locations to sell. In-person viewing is really the only way i sell art. I'm looking for advice on where to find a coach or rep, or publicist -- i guess I'm searching for the next steps in my career building and we never covered this kind of stuff when i got my MFA.
