About
I have over 30 years experience in the field of Welding and Structural Steel.
After completing a combination welding course at the Hartford Modern School of Welding in Connecticut (1988), I was hired as a welder for a company that built Box Beams for Trident Nuclear Submarines.
Over the years I have "risen through the ranks", going from welder to fitter, fabricator to leadman, shop supervisor to production manager. I was previously the Production Supervisor for the Built Up/Structural welding department at NCI Building Systems in Spokane, WA. I endeavored to streamline production by improving weld quality using the "Total Welding Management" System and implementing NCI's Quality Assurance Standards. I was most recently the Quality Assurance/Quality Control Manager for Brooklyn Iron Works in Spokane, Washington. A company specializing in structural steel (including seismic applications), bridges and industrial equipment.
I have obtained my CWI-Certified Welding Inspector, CWS-Certified Welding Supervisor (USA and Canada), and ASNT Level 1 UT and Level 2 Visual Testing certifications. I am also a Certified Quality Auditor through the American Society for Quality.
