What is the most useful piece of career advice you got as a student, and who gave it to you?
The most useful piece of career advice I received during my MBA program from a professor. He told me that my career is not in someone else's hands, only mine. I have to own it, manage it, and grow it. If I don't do those things then my career will suffer and I will be frustrated. If I maintain a positive attitude, communicate with my boss and peers effectively, and continue learning everyday then my career will be fulfilling. It's is the simple truth that made it stick with me; you reap what you sow.
