How do I get in touch with orthopedic physicians and physician's assistants for internships and shadowing opportunities?

I am a high school senior in South Jersey, who is moving to Miami for college. I am looking for any shadowing opportunities or internships available in New Jersey for this summer, or in Miami after the summer.

Ask your school counselor if they can reach out to some of the facilities in the region you are interested in. There is most likely a specific person who works with schools to help students with work study programs.

Create a spreadsheet with all places where you want to apply for an internship or shadowing. Then, start calling them. The spreadsheet will help you track the person’s name with whom you spoke, as well as any other notes or activity that pertain to that place. And you can always refer to it to follow up later if you don’t get what you want the first time around.
