What to study to become Detective?

What path in studies and all should I pursue if I plan to become a detective(like in law enforcement, probably like CID/CBI/FBI, etc.), (without being a patrol officer and all first, and then taking the long-term journey?)

Also, will the same path work out for an investigative psychologist? If not, then what path should I pursue in this case? Can I work in(or with) law enforcement in this case?

Becoming an FBI Detective or Special Agent Yoshi, is incredibly challenging with the agency accepting fewer than 20% of applicants. A FBI Detective is a highly competitive, multi-step Special Agent Selection System (SASS) and often can take over a year or more with you needing to meet strict eligibility and physical standards.
• BASIC ELIGIBILITY: You must hold at least a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of two years of professional work experience.
• SPECIALIZED SKILLS: Preference is frequently given to candidates with backgrounds in STEM, accounting/finance, foreign languages, law, or prior military and law enforcement experience.
• RIGOROUS TESTING: You must pass a rigorous Physical Fitness Test (PFT), comprehensive panel interviews, a polygraph examination, and an extensive Top Secret security clearance background check.
