I have heard that game development is a somewhat difficult job to get into straight out of college, so is there any specific advice you could give me for me to follow throughout college? What types of things should I study/explore, and what kind of internships should I seek?

What are some good colleges for someone looking to go into game development?
I am interested in game development and looking for specific colleges, ideally but not nessesarilly on the west coast, and ideally nowhere that regularrly goes above 85 degrees farenhight, even in the summer. a college located in a city would be best, as that is what i'm used to.

Is Having a Degree in Music Composition extremely important for Game Design?
