When you were a student, did you do anything outside of school to build skills or get knowledge that has helped your career?

When I was in middle and high school, I taught myself the basics of photography and videographer--which not only helped me tremendously for my college courses later on, but also allowed me to have enough knowledge to seamlessly adapt to a photography-focused internship in college. I also pursued different creative endeavors, which has benefitted me in terms of implementing creativity within my current roles. During my sophomore year of college, I applied for an unpaid internship that applied directly to the field in which I was passionate about. Though I wasn't familiar with the type of photography that the company focused on, I was willing to learn. The company that I interned for was more than willing to share a wealth of knowledge and professional experience within the wedding photography industry, which allowed me to grow my skills expediently.
