About
Hello! I am a registered nurse with a certification in public health. I have my 4 year degrees, and work in the Neonatal ICU (NICU.)
I was once like many other high school graduates. I did not want to go to college right away, I didn’t know what I wanted to do,
so I took a break. Became an employee of a temp agency and was hired at my first assignment. I was a corporate internal bank researcher and did this for a few years. I became bored and not excited about work,
my brain needed more stimulation and I knew that I wasn’t doing what I was meant to do in life.
I had a life experience that exposed me
to the NICU, and decided to go to college with my goal of working at a specific location. I stayed in touch with nurses and shadowed a few times. That’s how I kept my network. I wasn’t hired right away into the hospital, they had a hiring freeze. So I took different nursing jobs that I knew would help expose me to things I would see in the ICU. After 4 years of building experience and the hiring freeze was lifted, I applied at my dream location and was hired. I’ve now been there for almost 8 years, and I still love what I do, and I know this line of work is my calling.
