How do I make people feel like I am genuinely interested in them and not just looking for a job, in networking conversations?
I am a rising college freshman. How do I make professionals feel like I am genuinely interested in finding out more about them and their paths and avoid coming across as only speaking to them in order to get a job/ help, particularly in networking sessions? #Spring26
Can you rely on your college counselors for the majority of your schedule, or is it important to be self-reliant and research specific classes that are crucial to getting your degree ?
I am a high school senior who is committed to going to community college. I watched a lot of videos online where upperclassmen talk about their experiences going to community college and building their resumes and CV's to the point where they could transfer to a University of their liking....
How can I dedicate time for work, school, and free time, without sacrificing quality for either of these categories if possible?
So far, I can yield optimal results academically, but I needed to sacrifice an extracurricular for that. Although I don't plan to do that same extracurricular, I want to replace the time I used for that extracurricular for a job.
