How can I advance in biology outside of school?
For me I can't even take an actual biology class till next school year and im not quite sure what to do because I still want to be able to advance in it because im very interested in it and love doing work outside of school.
Where can I work as an artist who is still in college but no portfolio yet?
Is it possible to still offer some service to a company without my portfolio and at least get some experience working in or around a game dev. studio? I am stuck between needing to pay the bills and finding a fulfilling career.

I'm looking at a school down in California. It's basically in Los Angeles. All of my family keeps telling me that I need to get a car, even though I'm probably going to get on-campus housing. Do I really need a car? I'd love to not have to get a car payment on top of everything else....
