What is the best way to make a great first impression and further impressions on a college professor to make yourself stand out as a leader and gain further opportunities?

I am still a senior in high school, however I got into Purdue's College of Agriculture. I am majoring in Animal Science on a pre-vet track and I plan to minor in Fermentation Sciences. I have always been a huge community member who loves to be out there and support many others. I would love to find the many opportunities that Purdue has!

Are there any advice or tips on how to properly network with professional accountants?

I am a second year accounting student that have attended many career fairs, networking events, and clubs to start building the all-important connections. However, I feel I have not made much progress each time I go to a different event. My questions are generic despite how hard I try to come up with new topics to talk about. In the end, I become unforgettable easily. What are some important things to remember when searching for a job?

I just took a business communication class, and the teacher promoted some anxiety for me. I had no idea how many aspects are considered during an interview and even beforehand. For example, she said that when someone's reading your resume they will decide withing 10 seconds if they're going to trash it or not. She also said that first impressions are powerful, and the first 60 seconds you meet someone are the most important, and the view they have of you after that time will be hard to change. #resume #job-search #career #career-development #first-impressions #interviewing-skills #technology
