In layperson terms, what do you actually do at work?
I hire executives in the media/entertaiment industry. I have hired people who decide what people want to watch on tv and how to attract people to actually watch the show. I search the industry and select 5 or 6 candidates, based on experience, personality, smarts and track record, we recommend them for the position. We then work with the client to help them come up with salary and other perks for them to really want the job. When I was a student, I did not know what I want to do and i tried a lot of things to figure out what I liked to do. I worked as a psychologist for 5 years and decided that was not from me. I went on a journey and then found discovered recruiting as a great career for me. I think in this next phase of my life, I am hoping to work with students and help them take one step closer to find a career that suits them.
