Ivy’s Career Stories

How did you pick your career? Did you know all along?

In the beginning, I was unsure on what to do with my career choice. Obviously, I had every right to explore different fields and similarities in each category that was given to me. However, I made the choice to do photography when I was doing my associates degree because I remember that no matter where I go outdoors or be indoors, photographers would question me and ask that if I was a model or instead of modeling, I could go for photography; so I did and it turned out to be a fun career overall, but sometimes there are thoughts running through my head thinking that doing photography as a career will be difficult. Once I finished my associates degree, I graduated and transferred into a four year college and focused on my bachelors degree, and when I was about to graduate, I decided the very last minute that I wanted to do clinical psychology. Clinical psychology can vary a lot of career options such as: social work, therapist, psychologist, counseling, hospitality, and many more in the medical field as well as education or human resources. And when I thought of this process, I also had in mind of thinking of doing with this choice to work with the authorities as well, and I thought about the forensics team too. And it is slowly changing my life and rethinking as well as processing the fact that no matter what career I choose, I will always have a backup plan one after another.
