- Astranaut training for candidates takes 2 years of training and it can be very physically demanding. They wear pressurized suits, gloves that don't really fit, they work hours using their hands and arms, and it is very physically challenging. Astranauts can also have a lot of mental challenges. A pro thing for the Astranauts is that it helps them stay calm while being under a lot of pressure.
