The truth is, self-discovery is the foundation upon which a solid and satisfying career is built. What does it really mean to know yourself? Well, it involves looking beyond the surface. In the field of decoration, yes, having an eye for design and mastering software tools is great, but what truly motivates you? What are your core values? In which areas do you naturally shine, and in which do you need to put in a bit more work? Asking these questions can be the first step toward clarity and authenticity in your career. Now, let me talk to you about the importance of surrounding yourself with mentors. These are people who not only have experience in the world of interior design but are also willing to share their knowledge and wisdom with you. When you were a student, did you do anything outside of school to build skills or get knowledge that has helped your career?

Choosing a career can be exciting yet a tad overwhelming, but let me share a story with you that I hope will inspire you in your quest. Back when I was a student, I discovered that learning wasn't confined to what was taught in school. Yes, classes were important, but I also found valuable lessons outside the classroom. One of my most meaningful experiences was when I used to look after my younger cousins. Instead of just entertaining them, I decided to nurture their creativity. I bought paints and paper, encouraging them to draw and paint whatever they wanted. But here's the interesting part: afterward, I'd ask them to explain what they had created. This activity not only helped them develop their artistic skills but also taught them how to communicate and express themselves clearly and persuasively. From this, I learned that with a little attention and creativity you can learn a lot about people and their life. Another pivotal experience was my involvement in neighborhood activities. Being in constant contact with people, giving presentations, and speaking in public became a crucial part of my personal and professional development. Through these activities, I learned the importance of effective communication, teamwork, and adaptability.
