What do I need to do to get into a good business university and land a job in a big consulting company?

I am about to start my first year of IB in a few weeks, and I'm lost. I have picked these IB subjects: Business, Economics, English (lang and lit) - HL Math AA, ESS, Spanish ab into - SL I want to find as many opportunities (online or in Singapore) that will help me get into a great business university that allows me to get a job in a big consulting company (like mckensy, deloitte, etc) I am aware that universities prefer math as an HL but math is not my strong point. I want to get into a business field, such as marketing, HR, or any other field that requires minimal math.

I'd love to hear from experienced professionals on the real world value of each of the coursera online courses.

Good Day Career Village, I have the oppourtunity to pursue one among the seven 6-12month online courses on Coursera. Data Analytics AI & Machine Learning Project Management Cybersecurity Business & Entrepreneurship Developer Pathway Mobile Developer Pathway This to me, is very much a big deal. And seeing that I'll have to invest a lot to the course, I want to pick the one most feasible to have on my cv/resume for future carreer prospects. I'm currently a full-time student of Pharmacology Therapeutics and Toxicology in a college of medicine in Lagos, Nigeria. And I'm aware that data analytics Is a good choice considering my field, but I'd love to hear from experienced professionals on the real world value of each option. Thank you In advance for your insight

Are online courses worth the time?

I'm going to be doing Bsc Biomedical Science in the fall as a freshman. It's a pretty vast field and it's not known to be very prospective right after an undergrad degree. I am planning to do a post-grad degree but I heard online courses in important fields like business and computer science would give me a little edge, job-wise. Is that true? Will they be considered as serious courses (considering I pay for the certificates of course)?

Do employers see value in a Coursera/edX/MOOCs certificates?

I want to continue my studies to build my career and have relevant skills in my field, but it is hard to do in-class courses with a full-time job. This made me strongly consider taking online courses. I definitely think that further education is great for personal growth and learning new concepts and skills. Though I was wondering if employers actually see value in online courses and certifications, such as those on Cousera, edX, and Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs). Does it mean anything when they see it on a resume? #career #resume #job-application #career-building #education #certifications #online-courses
