About

Robert was most recently a Managing Director at West Lane Partners, a private investment firm founded by an internationally recognized bankruptcy and restructuring expert and a hedge fund pioneer targeting special situations, complex middle market acquisitions, and underperforming or undervalued companies in healthcare, technology, financial services, and industrials in the United States. Robert led initiatives in healthcare technology and business services.

For almost nine years prior, Robert was a partner and Board Member at Joshua Partners, an operationally focused private investment firm founded by a former senior partner at Court Square, where he continued to hone his skills at scaling businesses. Joshua Partners employed a buy and build strategy in partnership with entrepreneurial management teams in industrials, environmental services, business services, and consumer goods. Joshua Partners emphasized operational improvements, and once they scaled the companies, they would trade at multiples that were more than double their acquisition multiple. As an example, at Action, its specialized transportation and logistics portfolio company, the team grew the business from $20 million in revenue to $400 million on a pro forma basis through a combination of organic and M&A growth initiatives.

Earlier in his career, Robert was the Head of Information Services (data and analytics) in the TMT Group at Goldman Sachs and advised financial sponsors and corporate clients on strategic alternatives and corporate finance across sectors and verticals. Robert was also a private equity professional at the iFormation Group, a Goldman private equity vehicle launched in partnership with BCG and General Atlantic Partners. Robert was responsible for deal execution and identifying and evaluating growth and PE opportunities in fintech and telecommunications. He also has experience working on mid-cap and large cap private equity transactions with DLJ Merchant Banking as a generalist.

In addition to his experience in finance, Robert has advised clients on strategy and operations in the U.S. and abroad as a management consultant with BCG and the L/E/K Partnership. He is a graduate of Harvard's JD-MBA program and Harvard College where he was a Henry Russell Shaw Fellow in France and England. Robert is a member of the State Bars of NY and MA. He enjoys SCUBA diving, golf, tennis, basketball, international travel & the arts.
