I'm very interested in the arts and I'm wondering: Would I find any success in majoring in graphic design in college? #college #design #career

My goal is to work in the film and video game industry so it would be good to know from those who are educated what employers look for.

Do they work for a specific company? Are they more successful freelance? What does a day in the life of a graphic designer look like exactly and how do they manage to get assignments done efficently?

Just curious as to what exactly made you want to take this job. A family member or a friend, or just because of a hobby? Just curious.

I'm majoring in studio art with an emphasis on illustration, as we all do graphic design. My minor is in art therapy, and I'm also taking gen-ed classes. I'll be attending Minnesota State University Moorhead this coming fall as a freshman.

As AI becomes more used throughout the corporate world, what is the suspected impact of AI image creation on our field?

I've recently been looking into graphic design, and I was curious as to what specific skills were necessary for graphic design, and what skills I may learn after the fact? Are there specific websites that I need to get familiar with?

I've taught myself web design and want to pursue a career in UX design, but I have no professional portfolio. Is it necessary to make one without any real experience, or can I get a job without one?
