What do you think are the most important qualities for someone to succeed in the veterinary field, and how can aspiring veterinarians best prepare for the challenges of the job?
I’m currently in 12th grade and graduated early in December. I’ll be an upcoming freshman majoring in biology at Kennesaw State University with the goal of becoming a veterinarian to all animals.
What skills or qualities are most important for a veterinarian to have ?
I’m a freshman in a 2-year college. I’m enrolled in a pre-vet program. I’m going for my associate degree in Science and then I will be transferring to a University for my bachelor’s degree. I’m currently planning on signing up for a vet assistant certification program at my college for the summer.
How do I enter myself into the animal psychology field, and what career paths are available there (that can sufficiently support me)?
I am a senior in high school who, somewhat recently, discovered that I enjoy observing animal behaviors. I've always known that I love general/human psychology, but applying them to animals makes it much more fun for me. It's not a common field and there's not much out there that I can find on...
What career should I look into if I want to work with animals but do not want to be a vet?
I would love to work with animals in any capacity, but do not necessarily want to do all of the schooling that goes into becoming a vet, or deal with some of their responsibilities.
