I started my animal welfare journey as a volunteer at the Lowell Humane Society and worked my way up from kennel attendant to shelter manager. In that role, I used data analysis to improve operations, ultimately reducing our average dog length of stay by seven days. Now, I serve on the advisory board for the New England Federation of Humane Societies, where we focus on sharing knowledge to advance our field. I currently work with Humane World for Animals, teaching the Adopters Welcome manual because I truly believe in the mission—removing barriers and fostering conversation-based adoptions leads to better outcomes for both people and animals. I also work at a dog daycare, boarding, and grooming facility. There, I’ve implemented standard operating procedures and safety protocols to ensure we provide the highest level of care to the dogs entrusted to us.
