I'm a soon-to-be transfer student concerned with the financial drain of college and the low-pay field I'm walking into.

I am a high school senior with a plan to study agriculture studies in the fall. I chose this path because I am not sure what I want to do yet, but I am afraid that I won't know what to do after college.

I am currently a college freshman at Gustavus Adolphus and I hope to some day be in the field researching or in a classroom teaching on the collegiate level in biology or ecology. However, I worry about how the job market will look for those positions in ~6 years.

What is the best way to find internships between school years and after what school year should I be looking?

I would guess some place like a library but are there any other good places?

I would like to be in the agricultural industry, I enjoy the thought of engineering but I do not know much about agricultural engineering specifically.

I know I want to be in the medical field, but I can't decide which exact job I want to pursue. I thought about being a nurse, but I am shy and have anxiety; I don't think a job where I interact with lots of people all day is the best job for me. My mom suggested a lab tech, but I am not so sure...
