How did you pick your career? Did you know all along?
I've always been into technology. As a kid my dad would buy different technology and gadgets and just hand them to me, and I would set it up or repair something without looking at the manual. I just had a knack for it. I actually got into IT by accident. I originally started working as a junior accountant. I didn't like it at all, but I was young, and it was a job. From time to time the computer equipment in the department would go down and we would put in a service ticket for the device to be repaired but while waiting for the repair, I would fix it. When the service guys showed up, they would always ask "who fixed this?" After that happening a few times, they invited me to come work in the IT department. That was the start of my career. I've been working in IT for almost 20 years now. I guess it was meant to be.
