I initially trained as a nurse in Ireland when the only option was a diploma program. I moved to England for greater work opportunities and during that time, I trained and practiced as a Nurse Midwife in London. I emigrated to the US to go to college and now have a Doctoral degree in Nursing. I started from the ground up, working full-time as I went to school part-time. I did this for about 10 years and did have to sacrifice to get to where I am now, but I have no regrets. I love helping teenagers and young adults make the right decisions when it comes to choosing a career in healthcare.
