1) How do you remember so many different types of medicines and diseases as a Nurse Practitioner?

I am currently working on a CTE project for my Foundations in Health Science class in high school about careers. I have 13 questions, including the one above and would like responses from any Nurse Practitioner professional to help with this project. 2) Why did you choose this profession? 3) How many years of college did you need to go through? What courses did you need to take? 4) What jobs did you work before you landed your present professional job? 5) How can I decide if I should earn a Ph.D. in this field? 6) What benefits are there that come with becoming an NP? 7) Did you have to pivot and go back to school at a later date? 8) Did you shadow another professional in the field? 9) Did you join any school clubs related to your current profession? Were you in a college program? 10) Was there a particular subject you struggled with during your school years? 11) What skill sets did you learn or gain while pursuing your career? 12) Is it easy for you to balance your work life and your social life? 13) Would you recommend going through any experiences prior to becoming an NP to make the job easier?

If you attended college. Did the education you received in college, prepare you enough to feel comfortable once you got into the career path you took?

Some people go for advanced training or even just years of college to pursue their careers and I would just like to know if people think its beneficial to have attended college for the career they went into.

What is a nurse practitioner responsible for in the workplace?

Hi, my name is Maddy and I am a sophomore in high school. I love the idea of helping children and just working with them, but I don't really know all of what a nurse practitioner does. I'd like to get to know the job and all it entails before I ever seriously considered it as a future career. #children #nursepractitioner

What was/is your experience been in nursing school? How would you describe it?

Hello! I am a rising junior in high school, and I am certain that going into nursing is something I want to do. More specifically, I want to get my BSN, become a registered nurse, then get my masters and become a nurse practitioner (specialize in sports medicine or orthopedics). I am curious about how life would be as a nursing school student. How stressful is it? How much free time do you get? Is it fun? #nursing #nurse #registerednurse #nursepractitioner #college #collegelife #nursingschool

How do I get the opportunity to shadow someone?

I want to shadow a physician assistant, nurse practitioner, dieticians, and registered nurse (and maybe even a therapist). How do I do that? If anyone is one of the professions in Chicago please let me know if I can shadow you! Also are there any internships in the medical field! Thank you! #healthcare #medical #nurse #doctor #physicianassistant #nursepractitioner #dietician #medicine

Nurse practitioner vs Physician assistant

This year is my last year in high school. The pressure is on to decide on my future career and my course of action in perusing that job. #medicine #doctor #healthcare #hospital-and-health-care #hospital-and-health-care I’ve always wanted to become and Ob gyn doctor. Recently i’ve been doing some research and learned about Np’s and Pa’s who can specialize in women’s health and are almost like doctors. However I don’t understand the difference between what their scope of practice are and the schooling required. My plan was to major in chemistry while taking pre med courses for my undergraduate degree then going into a Pa or Np Program. But I don’t know if taking pre med would be the right choice if i wanted to go into either of those careers. #womenshelath #physicianassistant #nursepractitioner

What is the scope of autonomy you have as a CNM Nurse-Practitioner?

I am preparing to study to become a Nurse-Midwife at Emory University. The end of the journey is becoming a Nurse Practitioner with a dual focus in Nurse-Midwifery and Women's Health. I'd like to know how much of what I desire to do in my practice is actually possible (where does the line cross over into being an MD). #midwife #nursing #nursepractitioner

I want to learn about what A Day in Life is like for a Nurse Practitioner. I have learned that if you are too sensitive you might need to reconsider your career options? Is this true?

Im asking because I learned that you may see many hurt people including people's death. I am a very sensitive person and hate seeing really hurt people. Should I think twice? #nursepractitioner #hospitals #medicine #nurse-management

What role will nurse practitioners likely have in the next 20 years?

Becoming a nurse practitioner is a field that seems to be growing, and there is more and more need. With medical school graduates continually choosing specialities rather than primary care routes, will that lead nurse practitioners to fulfill that gap? Or will nurse practitioners continue to specialize in areas like cardio or neonatal and have a significant role there? #nursepractitioner #futureroles #primaryvsspecialty
