Scott’s Answer

The "medical field" is very broad, ranging from being a caregiver such as a nurse's aide to being a brain surgeon or a biomedical engineer and more. If you have a more specific idea as to what you are considering and they align with any of the jobs described in Mary's answer above then her suggestions are good ones. If you are interested in other aspects of the medical field with a more scientific bent, I suggest trying to find some sort of work in a laboratory or perhaps at a college in one of the sciences if that is an option. Maybe you can ask one of your teachers if they are aware of any opportunities in the area. In general, it is my opinion that you try to get many varied experiences in different areas and you might find something unexpected really intrigues you. Good luck

Maryta’s Answer

Some companies offer positions where your main role is to simply sit and engage in friendly conversation with clients. It's a wonderful opportunity to make a difference in someone's day. If you're concerned about balancing this with your school schedule, don't worry! Check with your school to see if they have programs that let you transition smoothly from school to work. You might even have the chance to earn school credit or get paid for your time. It's a fantastic way to gain experience while managing your studies.
