Amanda’s Career Goals
I have a lot of small interests (art, music, reading, socializing), but none of them are strong passions. I am still unsure how to find a major, much less find a dream career.

- You can take some of the career profile tests that are available. Ask your guidance counselor or go to the Career Center. There are some tools online that will help you identify your interests and self perceived skills and talents. Then you should derk out volunteer opportunities internships or part- time jobs that are related.
- Take continuing education courses at your local college in varying subjects to see which one you think suits you best. For instance, you take a few astronomy classes and you find that you have a passion for astronomy. It’s all about experimentation.

- learn what good resumes and cover letters look like and how i can start/improve on my own
- start a side art project (either on paper or with CAD)
Work Experience
- Visit 5 different types of businesses in your area and talk to the owners. Get a sense for how those businesses serve their community, the types of people it takes to run those businesses, and whether that industry keeps their employees engaged, happy, and stable.
