How to get a pharmacy technician job without any degree or experience?

Hello! I’m an incoming freshman, about to attend college this fall. Therefore, I have no experience or degree for any medical field yet. However, I searched online and saw that you don’t need experience working as a pharmacy technician in a retail store, sometimes even in hospital. I’m in a pre nursing major, and it has nothing to do with pharmacy except that they both are medical related field. I thought I could try applying for some retail jobs in CVS and/or Walgreen and get those pharmacy tech skills. But I got rejected both times when I applied. I think they mostly want people with experience working in the position. Do you know what I can do to maybe increase the likelihood of getting into there? I heard if I start out working as a cashier in CVS, there’s a more likelihood that I can be promoted to working in the pharmacy area. Is it true? I’m not as serious about pharm tech jobs as of right now, that’s why I wanna try working there to see if I like this job or not. Thank you!

How can I balance nursing school, family, social life, my relationship, work while keeping my sanity? #Spring26

School is so overwhelming. I start nursing school in the fall and I am worried that I wont be able to pay for school because of how demanding school will be. Juggling everything else on top of that is going to be hard as well. Any and all tips are appreciated!

How can I combine my professional work experience, undergraduate major, and minor to become a competitive applicant for a master’s program in Industrial/Organizational Psychology?

I am a mid-career fashion industry professional transitioning into academia and education. I have extensive experience in production, quality control, cross-functional collaboration, and organizational processes within the fashion industry. I am currently completing my undergraduate degree in Communications (Rhetoric & Advocacy) at Baruch College and a psychology minor with the goal of pursuing graduate study in Industrial/Organizational Psychology right after obtaining my bachelor's degree. My long-term goal is to combine industry expertise, research, and education — potentially through teaching, consulting, or organizational development work focused on workplace systems, leadership, and decision-making within creative industries. As an adult student and working professional making a career pivot, I would appreciate advice on: -what experiences or skills I should prioritize during my undergraduate studies, -how to position prior industry experience for graduate admissions, and -what makes a nontraditional applicant competitive for I-O psychology master’s programs.

Is it more cost efficient to find a part-time job during high school instead of taking AP classes?

I've been thinking of taking plenty of AP classes through high school, but I'm not sure if the workload is worth the lower cost. Especially considering I've heard some colleges don't accept AP test scores.

What do I do in a situation like this?

Hi, I love my current remote part-time job. I just interviewed for another part time job to supplement my current job. A second interview seems very promising. Here in a few weeks though, I would have to leave my current job an hour early for only two days in a row. If I am offered the second job, how do I go about telling my manager I need to leave two hours early two days in a row? I have been tossing around ideas, but I just don't know. This second job is one I have been wanting badly, but I also do not want to lose my current job because I absolutely love it. Does anyone have any tips or advice? Thank you!
