What is it really like to study and work in engineering?

I am a high school student and am doing an interview for a project that’s supposed to help me with my future pathway. I want to be an engineer and need someone with that expertise to answer a couple of simple questions. - What’s the most life-giving part of your career (or college/major)? - What is something you wish you would’ve done (or not done) in working toward your career (or college/major)? - What is something you wish someone would’ve told you about your career (or college/major) that you didn’t anticipate? - Does your career (or college/major) relate to math (or require certain math courses) in any way? Thank you! I am going to use the interview for the project and I would be very grateful for any answers *Note: Edited by Admin for clarity

I had not imagined that I would got to college on the East Coast! I am a California girl. But the circumstances changed for me. While I am happy about the college I am going to, I am also frighted that it is so far from home.

What classes should I start signing up for high school as I am not yet sure of what I want to do in life?

I am an 8th grader in middle school, signing up for high school. I am an athlete in soccer and track, and for a while, I've had aspirations for becoming a professional athlete. I've come to realize that I also need to have a plan for what jobs I can do besides that, or additionally to that. I am not sure of what specific job I want to do, but I am leaning towards the medical or engineering field. Are there specific classes that I can take that will get me ahead of the game? Are there specific classes high school athletes take to be eligible for sports in college? Also, my high school will soon be getting the IB program, and I was thinking of opting out of it, but I have heard many good things about the program. This high school does not have the best reputation for sports. What should I consider? Any help will be received with extreme gratitude. Thanks, Student

What options do I have?

I've attended many college fairs and will be graduating high school with an associate degree in information technology, as I'm taking the Ptech course in Minnesota. I don't yet know which college I want to attend, but it should be one that's relatively close to Minnesota and supports people with mental disabilities, offering many resources for people like me. I found an AHD college that supports me and has nice staff members who are knowledgeable about careers in information technology. That would be helpful.
