How did you start building your network?
Join organizations with values that are similar to yours. Also join professional organizations adjacent to your field. Make sure you attend events and don't be scared to open conversations with people. Networking isn't just to get something out of people. I have more often connected people in my network that asked people in my network for something. You'll find yourself in a similar position.
In layperson terms, what do you actually do at work?
I help sales teams operate more efficiently but taking away the admin and analysis necessary to make their clients happy. Because of me our sales team is more prepared and more knowledgeable when out in the field.
