Davide Barillari

Davide Barillari is a Mainframe&zCloud certified Specialist working for Kyndryl, with distinctive expertise on security and Quantum technologies.

Davide has been with IBM for over 17 years, in the roles of z/OS Specialist for IBM Global Technical Support, italian member of WebSphere for z/OS EMEA Virtual Front End Team, and Senior class-Instructor on zSeries Architecture for IBM Learning Services.
His area of competencies are specifical for the Enterprise Enviornment in the role of Mainframe Modernization Advocate, with a specifical knowledge of z/OS security features. His tech skills are covering Hybrid Cloud solutions, application serving infrastructure, high availability, advanced troubleshooting.
Davide has managed several critical situations and between 1997 and 2013 he carried out onsite activities for big clients in financial sector.
In the last years, Davide provided consultancy services on banking customers as experienced senior Specialist on WebSphere Application Server for z/OS, before carrying out an institutional mandate for two legislatures.

He was nominated NetXplorateur of the year 2008 by French Senate.
Since 2011 Davide is IBM certified at Senior level into Product Services profession and he is also certified as Level 1 experienced IT Specialist by IBM Profession Office AITS. He received the Leadership Award in 2014 by Swiss School of Management and the Cancer Policy Award in 2019 by Italian Senate.

Since 2022 he developed a cybersecurity skill, obtaining the CompTIA Security+ certification.

In 2023 he joined the Kyndryl Quantum Tiger Team. Davide is focused on Quantum Service Computing: elaborate “Quantum Readiness Roadmap” for financial customers, prepare to Post-Quantum Cryptography (Quantum-safe migration and Crypto Agility), plan QCaaS hybrid infrastructure in integration with existing classical production environments.

Last projects: engaged as Project Technical Leader in a mainframe cybersecurity assessment for a national bank, and now working as Integration Architect for a 1-year migration project for a international financial client.
Davide is actually preparing the OpenCA Enterprise Architect certification.
