Tips on studying for a Business Tax Accounting exam?

We aren't allowed to reference our notes or the textbook during the exam. I find this course to be very challenging since it is very technical and has a lot of information. How can I combat against information overload and memorize the key concepts and apply them to different scenarios?

What should I do if I'm starting to feel like accounting isn't for me anymore, even though I still want to be a successful accountant or partner at a Big 4 firm someday #Spring25?

People aren't kidding when they say junior year is the hardest. I'm currently a junior majoring in accounting, and I’ve been struggling this semester—especially with Intermediate Accounting 2 and Intro to Tax. I also work two small on-campus jobs and have a part-time remote tax internship. While I liked my supervisors, I’m unsure if I want to go the tax route long-term. Lately, I’ve been really stressed. I didn’t do well on my recent exams, and with finals coming up, I’m losing confidence and not enjoying what I’m learning. I’m starting to wonder if accounting is still the right path for me. I used to enjoy it back at community college, but these university-level courses are definitely tougher. The thing is, I still want a stable corporate career, and I’ve always dreamed of working at a Big 4 firm—I even have an internship lined up for Summer 2026. I don’t want to waste that opportunity. I don’t really have any other strong interests, so switching majors feels scary and uncertain. I like solving problems and working hands-on, but this semester has been rough. Has anyone else felt like this before? Should I wait until my internship to see if it’s a better fit? How do you push through the hard parts of the accounting journey?

Why are so many CPA's not actively using their license after spending all the effort to acquire it? #Spring25

It poses a serious question of whether accounting is still a valid career in 2025. To acquire a CPA license and not use it would just tarnish its name, would it not? #Spring25

Hello! My name is Tracy and I'm a current high school student. I'm conducting an interview with any professional in Tax Examiners and Collectors, and Revenue Agents field for a Foundations in Health Science Class project about careers! I have created a total of 13 questions. Comment on this post, answering all 13 questions to be a part of my assignment.?

Unfortunately, his is my second time posting this since no one answered my first post. Please help me and answer these questions for my health science assignment: What profession did you choose? Why? How many years of college did you need to go through? What jobs did you work before you landed your present professional job? How can I decide if I should earn a Ph.D. in this field? Were you in a college program? Did you have to pivot and go back to school at a later date? Did you shadow another professional in the field? Did you join any school clubs related to your current profession? Was there a particular subject you struggled with during your school years What skill sets did you learn or gain while pursuing your career? Were you faced with any obstacles that slowed you down? How did you overcome them? What is something about your profession that you want others to keep in mind before pursuing in the same path? What is the most difficult part about working in your professional job? Thank you for your time.
