What is the most useful piece of career advice you got as a student, and who gave it to you?
The most useful advice I got was -as a beginner, actually- a simple sentence "trust yourself!". My manager gave it to me, while I was hesitating in structuring a presentation deck.
How did you pick your career? Did you know all along?
The Internet was not existing when I was a student. Even not the mobile phones. But I knew I wanted to work in the Communications domain, not sure how and not sure where. All is a matter of opportunities. Actually I have been thrown in the New technologies arena by surprise, asked by colleagues to join UUNet for one specific expertise. And now I'm working for products propagating IoT...
