About

My job involves communication, creative problem-solving, and working with college interns to help them learn about the communications industry. I also have a passion for volunteering and sharing the knowledge I've gained with those who need it. With those three traits, I'm well-prepared to help other students with any questions they may have!

Erin’s Career Stories

When did you get your first Big Break? How did you get it? How did it go?

What I would consider by "Big Break" was receiving a job offer before I graduated from college. I interned with a communications agency the summer after my junior year of college, and worked my butt off all summer. I was so grateful for the opportunity that I absolutely gave it my all. After the summer was over, I stayed connected with those I had interned with. Before I graduated from college, a position opened up at the company and I jumped at the chance. I have been working there since, and all in all I've been with the same company for more than 2.5 years. Moral of the story: Appreciate every opportunity that comes your way, and work as hard as you can no matter what!

What is the one piece of career advice you wish someone gave you when you were younger?

Be curious! The answer to every career question you have is available online. Look it up! There are even answers to questions you've never thought of asking. Throughout my entire academic career, I had no idea what I wanted to do. Little did I know that there are endless amounts of people who feel the same way, and resources to help guide us in the right direction. While my journey has taught me valuable lessons I wouldn't change for the world, and brought people into my life that I cherish, it would have been beneficial to consume career-oriented content earlier on.
