About

My first job was at Burger King when I was 15 years old. I worked in fast food until I decided to join the Air Force. I chose Security Forces as my speciality in the military. In this specialization, I had the opportunity to guard billion dollar aircraft, protect U.S. Presidents, become a certified D.A.R.E. Instructor to teach the DARE curriculum to K-5th graders. I also worked as a Pass & ID Clerk where I conducted finger prints for civilian workers on base and taught the Incoming Personnel Course on Drivers Safety in a new country where driving laws are different than the United States.

After seperating from the military, I worked in the corporate world for a short time before realizing it was not for me. I had more children and decided to home school them. I finished my bachelors degree while being a stay-at-home mom. Upon completion of my bachelors degree in educational studies, I landed a job my alumni (St. Petersburg College). I spent almost 7 years working with various students, primarily health education students applying to competitive health programs. I facilitated the new student orientation as a Career and Academic Advisor, and created workshops for resume writing and other soft skills needed for learners to make their next move from academia into their professional spaces.

Now, I work as a college counselor for a private international company, and run a coaching business which I intend to build in time. I finished my graduate degree at Northeastern University in Education, specializing in Learning Design, Technology and Instruction. I enjoy building learning experiences in various learning contexts.
