Naglis’ Career Goals

I would like to become a lawyer because I enjoy logic and debates and everything of the sort; I'm trying to get into a good college, where I will probably major in Political Science, Philosophy, History, or some other major that helps build my analysis and logic skills. Of course I hope to do quite well on the LSAT, so I can then get into a strong law school. I'm still unsure what type I'd like to be, but I have time to figure out, but I know I don't want to be a criminal defense lawyer because although I would be helping a lot of innocent people, I would also have to spend a lot of time defending people I know are guilty, and I really do not want to do that. I'm sort of leaning towards being an international lawyer or something else of the sort.

How much of a deciding factor should weather be for my colleges?

I'm a high school junior so I started looking at colleges, of course; However, since I'm from and have lived in San Francisco for my whole life, I haven't actually experienced any weather that is below 40 or above 80 degrees F for 95% of the year. Because of this I'm curious as to how important...

How important are clubs for your time ?

Currently I'm a high school senior; I always see things talking about clubs whenever I am looking at colleges, online or in person, or on a tour when people are talking about certain things too. They seem cool and all, but how important are they actually? Are they an experience everyone should...

For those who went to a post-graduate school/degree, what was something about the process which they regretted?

I am a high school junior, and since I don't really know anyone who actually obtained a post-graduate education, I don't know anything about the process and what things are good to do and what things I shouldn't do. I also think that learning from mistakes is a very useful thing to do, whether...

If I'm planning to go to a post-graduate school, how should I plan my timeframe for college and after?

I'm trying to go to law school after I graduate college, and I am currently taking enough APs to likely be able to skip a year in college, does it make sense to do so so I have more time to earn more money for law school/start law school and be done with my education earlier? I hear a lot of...

For a student who would like to become a lawyer, what are the good majors for preparing for the LSAT?

I'm a high school student who wants to become a lawyer. I know that the LSAT requires a lot of critical thinking/analysis skills, and I know that there's a lot of different majors which you can take in order to do well, not just Political Science. That leaves me with a question; what are other...

What is the best way to decide what type of lawyer I would like to be/?

I'm currently a junior in high school and I definitely would like to become a lawyer, I'm just unsure about what type. I'm not asking for a suggestion of a type of lawyer, but I'm curious what experiences I can partake in to help maybe either exclude or include certain sectors of law which I...
