Should I wait a year to go to uni and what major should I choose?

What major should I go into and should I wait a year to go to uni? I am 16 and graduated highschool a year and a half early and have no idea what to do next. I decided what college to go but my father thinks I should do a year at community college and then switch to uni. I also have been debating between legal studies and English as my major because I would like to be a lawyer but also travel and teach English in other countries.#Spring24

Should English be my minor or 2nd major?

I have committed to my college as a psychology major. I am looking at a career in either (or both, if possible) research psychology or editing and publishing. Do you think I can land a job in editing when English is only my minor? Is it worth the extra effort to double major? How do minors show up on my degree anyway? #major #english #college-major #englishliterature

Can Journalism really be a "lead-way" major into publishing?

My counselor knows that I wanted to be a book editor as my final career. However instead of majoring in English, she told me to major in Journalism because English is more for Education? I just wanted to know if I should put English or Journalism or if it matters. #journalism #english-literature #english

What courses are needed for a career in literature?

I know this is kind of hard to answer, but I plan on going in the English/literature field for and after college, and I was wondering which classes would be most helpful in honing my writing skills. I heard that you don't actually need college for this career, but I felt like it wouldn't hurt to have some sort of extra education in it, so I just figured I'd, you know, inquire. #college #writing #english #literature #english-composition

Is majoring in English, beneficial when one is looking to become an High-School English Teacher?

Throughout High-School, English has been my favorite subject. Recently, I have seriously started to consider becoming a Secondary Education Teacher. It seems only natural that English would be the subject I want to pursue. So, I was wondering if it would be beneficial to major in English, rather than Education. #teacher #major #english
