When you were a student, did you do anything outside of school to build skills or get knowledge that has helped your career?
In the Spring 2017 semester, I got an internship at the Metro Philadelphia, a newspaper that has NYC, Philly, and Boston affiliates. I learned so much and was able to witness first hand how my skills that were learned in the classroom applied to the real world and put them to the test. I learned that newspapers are not for me, but I always knew I wanted to write for magazines or online media. Getting an internship teaches you so much about your field and yourself.
