How can I best prepare myself for a career in character design for animation pre-production and writing industry?
I am planning to go to art college to major in animation and character design.
How did you manage to work while being a nursing student?
I'm going into nursing school and aware of the heavy material and responsibility that comes with obtaining a nursing degree. I want to keep working as I do need the money, but the stigma of working and being in nursing is overwhelming.
How do you build confidence in yourself when stepping into new environments or opportunities?
Whether it’s a new job, leadership role, or unfamiliar setting, I sometimes feel unsure at first. I’d love to know how others developed confidence in those situations.
What’s something you wish you did differently during college that would have made your transition into your career easier?
I’m trying to be more intentional with how I spend my time now and would appreciate any hindsight advice on what actually matters long-term.
How do you deal with feeling behind or comparing yourself to others in college or early career stages?
It’s easy to feel like others are ahead, especially with internships, jobs, or achievements. I’m curious how professionals handled that pressure and stayed focused on their own path.
What habits or routines helped you stay consistent and productive during college?
I sometimes struggle with staying consistent long-term, especially when balancing school, work, and other responsibilities. I’d love to hear what actually worked for you beyond just basic time management advice.
How did you know that your field of study/career was the right one for you? If you studied your field in college, did you eventually get bored of it/burn out? How do you avoid/mitigate that?
Graduating Senior interested in psychology/criminology, specifically looking to go into forensic psychology. Also very interested in the arts: musical composition, orchestra, and musical theater acting and pit orchestra participation.
