I am a senior in High School who wants to pursue Pediatric OT. I see a lot of pros about the career but being aware of the cons is also crucial.
What is the most rewarding part of being a Child Life Specialist ?
Does it matter which path I choose to become a Child Life Specialist?
Where can I get with my plan of individualized study?
I'm transferring from community college to app state next fall. I'm interested in social work, communication studies, and child development (social work is my concentration, not sure which minor/second concentration between communication and child development I should do.) Either way, I have two plans a) advocate for children with disabilities (I'm autistic myself, and I want to work with other people who advocate for them as well) or b) get a master's in education policy/law and analyze and change policies set for disabled students in schools. Which route would you go? Anyone with a similar plan? #communications #socialwork #childdevelopment #interdisciplinarystudies #individualizedmajor #appalachianstateuniversity #college #psychology #law
