What is the one piece of career advice you wish someone gave you when you were younger?
The one piece of advice I wish I was given at a younger age would be to volunteer or make sure to get an internship. I work with young adults everyday and many of them run into is not having enough experience in the field of choice for their career. I wish I would have taken advantage of different opportunities that were presented to me when I had the option to take them. What I mean by this, instead of focusing on the "money" I could earn, I should have been focused on the experience I could earn. This would have helped me start my career a lot sooner. Even if you are not sure what you want to do, if you have the option to volunteer or intern take it. You can use it to explore different possible career paths, confirm one you know you want to do or develop much needed soft skills.
