ABOUT CHEF JOHNNY
Globally known and recognized Chef Johnny Carino was born in Brooklyn, New York, into a deep-rooted Italian family.
After his mom succumbed to cancer when he was twelve, Johnny would sit up on a stool, watching and learning from his Sicilian-born grandparents and beginning the love for his chosen career path.
His career would take Johnny worldwide, training staff and opening restaurants. In 1994, his namesake restaurant chain “Johnny Carino’s” was launched in Fort Collins, Colorado.
His successful career has included opening and training staff in restaurants around the globe, creating multiple restaurants and concepts, and starring in his PBS cooking show “Break Me Off a Piece of That” from 2002-2007.
Johnny has been featured in many magazines, trade journals, and newspapers.
Today, Johnny, a private chef, resides in beautiful St. Simons Island, Georgia, creating custom five-star experiences for his clients living in and traveling to the Golden Isles.
