For jobs involving food science, what qualifications do you think are the hardest to meet?
I'm on my last semester of my Nutritional Sciences degree (bachelor's). I'm taking the time to brush up on food chemistry and physics. I have several years of experience working in a meat market, and 6 months experience developing a food product. What else can I do to aid my hire-ability?

Is it okay to completely change career path?
I completed my bachelor's degree in Food Processing Technology in a Sri Lankan government university. However during my internship I realized that I hate working in a food processing factory, I don't like being in crowded or noisy places. And I realized that I really enjoy anything creative like graphic designing, video editing, photography, writing etc. I have now finished my degree but just the thought of getting a job in a food company make me sad and uncomfortable. Is it okay if I stop learning further and move into learning graphic designing and video editing? Will I be able to earn money in those areas?

As a highschooler, how can I find food science & marketing opportunities?
I am incredibly passionate about vegan food science & marketing. Specifically, in the near future I want to develop a product and put it on a grocery store. I wasn't sure if that was feasible now given the amount of regulations it takes and my age, but I was wondering how you get opportunities as a highschooler?

How do I get into Food Forensics?
I have a B.S. in Forensic Psychology and a minor in Criminal Justice. I've spent the last year in Victim Advocacy. Now I'm considering switching careers up a little and getting into Food Forensics. I've been in a Health and Wellness program for a few months learning about food and I love it. I feel like Food Forensics would be an awesome job for me, but I don't know how to get into it. What education/skills do I need for this? Do you have any resources I can look at for continuing education and/or job requirements? Internship ideas would be awesome too. Thanks!

When did you find out Food Science was the right career for you?
My name is Alexus and I am a food science major because I can’t see myself majoring in anything else besides it. What I lack is experience in food science and I feel that I am a visual and hands on learner, so I would love to get as much experience as possible, the only dilemma is that we’re in a pandemic. #food-science #major #career
