What benefits are there in being an astronomer? What things do you study?

What does the life of an astronomer look like?

Like how are you guys able to make such specific predictions and when actually taking a picture, figuring out it was similar or almost exactly same?
Like the black hole picture for example, recently it was discovered and almost exactly as it was predicted to be.

I am curious about the flexibility and pay of being a barista. Dose it change depending on where you work.

How do rewarding is psychiatry for the doctor? There is the aspect of helping others that can be incredibly rewarding to do, but what other parts of the job are rewarding or beneficial for both doctor and patient?
