Any advice for a student starting an embedded internship?
Hi. i sm a CS student in my 2nd year and I've got an internship starting in 2 weeks. I feel as if i sm behind the other interns and i don't know much to actually even start the internship. I've been learning some c++ and OOP principles as the firmware description said that those are the need to knows. I haven't got any practice with actual embedded coding however i do have an arduino uno 4 i bought recently along with some other components, breadboards, wires etc.

What kind of extracurriculars and projects should I work on if I want to build firmware for space?
I'm a university second year computer science student in Seattle. I'm super interested in embedded systems and firmware and would love to work on systems used by space agencies on their missions. What kind of extracurriculars and projects should I work on to help me build the skills to move towards my goal?
Useful Skills for EE?
Next year I’m starting out as an EE major in college, but I find myself fidgeting at home wondering if I’m doing all I can to prepare myself. What are some skills that I can begin teaching myself to better prepare myself for going into electrical engineering? Some friends suggested coding, while others said to skip coding and learn 3D modeling. All of my friends have different answers, and they always start to bicker when I bring it up. My dream job is working on plane electrics systems if that helps narrow it down.
How do I break into embedded systems and robotics as a computer engineering student with no professional experience yet?
I am an incoming freshman studying Computer Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin, with a focus on embedded systems and robotics. I taught myself C++ outside of class and have a Python certification, but I have no internship or research experience yet. What should I prioritize in my first year to make myself competitive for internships in this field? Are there specific projects, clubs, or skills I should focus on early? #Spring26
In what way's do you think that Computer Engineering has influenced your life after college? #Spring26
I'm a high school senior and I'm planning on majoring in computer engineering and I just wanted to know how life after college would look like with finding jobs and working conditions and all to better prepare myself for the future and knowing whether I actually want to take this major.
As an electrical engineering major, what steps can I take to apply my engineering/circuit knowledge into real-world projects I want to design some circuits and potentially integrate hardware with Arduino?
I would like to build out my portfolio and start my own technology-based business in the future; however, I feel as though I do not have enough hardware/hands on experience with technological design... I was just curious about how to expand my knowledge on this topic independently.
What type of engineering is best for me?
I'm interested in cars, and other automotives. I love taking things apart and putting them back together, as well as building things. I never really joined a robotics team, but I have experience with drones.
How difficult would it be to get my dream job in computer engineering? #Spring25
My major is computer engineering, and I plan to have a bachelor's degree for it.
