How did you pick your career? Did you know all along?
My journey has been anything but simple. Growing up in a tough environment, I believed hard work and learning could create a better future. My passion for healthcare and technology has shaped my career in unexpected ways. I spent 12 years as a phlebotomist, drawing blood for lab tests. When COVID-19 hit, I was furloughed and had to rethink my path. Instead of giving up, I earned certifications in medical coding, health informatics, and electronic health records. I discovered my love for technology and learned SQL form modeling and contributed to several projects. Balancing my career with motherhood hasn’t been easy, but I never stop learning. I started affiliate marketing / freelance to combine my expertise in technology support, and digital art, supporting others through AI and tech solutions. My advice? Never stop learning and be open to new opportunities. Success isn’t always a straight path—sometimes, the best journeys take unexpected turns.
