Do I need to know how to do everything to make my own show?
Now that I think about it, show producers must be really, really talented because I thought they have to know how to do everything in production to tell workers what to do, like song-writing, animation, or film tech. Are directors like "high school" teachers that tell the students what to...
Best college for arts?
I'm looking to animate a series one day, so I plan to learn voice acting, story writing, and animation (3D.) I'm mostly looking for quality in the college over price, but I just need help finding one that helps you in self-employment because I'm gonna need to put myself out there and work...
What is the most challenging part of becoming a Dental hygienist? The schooling, the job itself, not enough time to spend with family, etc?
Hi! I am curious on some of the things that may make being a dental hygienist a less desirable job, to see if I can overcome these things or do I have no chance at all? I am a sophomore and am homeschooled. I plan to go to UH Manoa for the dental hygiene course. I would like to know more about...
Setting up Voice acting tech
What kind of tech and software/webs do I need to prepare for voice acting practice and future auditions? I saw some suggestions about special mics, but I don't know what they are or how they work. Like a "condenser mic" or "pop filter". Which ones are the best for price and quality? The prices...
What schooling do I need to take before entering a dental hygiene program?
Hi! I'm a sophomore and am homeschooled, recently i've been thinking on the career path of a dental hygienist. I'm curious on what I need schooling on before I take the dental hygiene course at my state uni (if I take this path). Such as pre reqs, or courses that I should major/minor in...
Is Rotoscoping animation cheating?
It's hard for me to come up with animation poses and finding the right photos for reference take a while. Does using Rotoscoping techniques count as cheating? Also, what if the build of the character I want to animate isn't like my build, how can I reference with different bodies? It would seem...
How to get myself into the Voice acting world (Games)?
I've known a few games with voice acted characters, and I wonder: How do they find them? Is there a special website for hiring VA for games/small shows? Do I contact them personally to audition? How can I if they don't use a website for "open auditions" or if they are too small to have a...
How not to make an army of "me" for Original characters?
Sometimes in English class, I have to do a prompt with specific needs (vocabulary, setting, etc.). I like to use my characters to act out the scene, but I've noticed recently the characters personalities are not acting how they were supposed to be. I know they say to let your characters take...
What webs for reference? (character/plot)
I had asked in another post how can I find relatable reference for character interaction and personalities, and someone suggested Reddit. The problem is, I'm just 14 and I don't think my parents would let me. I can't really go on social media (insta, Facebook, twitter, etc.), are there any...
How do I find the right combination of plot ideas?
I don't know the exact saying, but I think it's something about how all stories are used, just with different characters and settings. I don't know all the combinations, but I really want to look for some that really stands out. Sometimes I don't know what the "plot" is called, especially if I...
How to understand a different perspective for characters?
Hi. So I want to make a story, and I want the characters to have diversity in many ways (disabilities, race, personality, ideals, etc.) but I don't know how to make a character through their eyes. How can I express them in a way where it's not assuming and more how they actually interact in the...
Where/how to do lessons while being safe?
I live in Hawaii. Anyone who has ever watched "The Sound of Freedom" knows that looking for a teaching place or even a website to learn or do something can be shady or scary to find/be in. Any tips on how to find the right one? I want to look for places or teaching websites that can teach me...
How to be a pro artist?
I'm an aspiring artist, and I want to learn animation and art in general. I want to make my own series when I get older, and I don't know what webs/places to learn from. (I take art class by the way). What are some tips to improve?
Should I be a Voice actor or an actor?
I met an awesome Voice actor, Lizzie freeman (TADC, jojo's bizzare adventure, etc...), and she inspired me to be a voice actor. I'm planning to take chorus to help my voice, but she recommends having a bigger 'job palette' by being an actor. What should I do?
