I'm originally from the Seattle, Washington area, but left there right after high school when I joined the US Army. I have a bachelor's degree in system engineering from Southern Illinois University Carbondale and a master's degree in information systems management. I served in the Army as a communications systems maintainer where I performed a lot of jobs; I led people, was an instructor, ran an electronics maintenance shop, and a lot more. While I was in the Army I lived all over the world - Korea, Japan, Greece, Iraq, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and all over the United States and visited many more countries. After I left the Army I worked as an engineering manager for a large defense technology company where we made military communications systems.
